| Had this device for about 2 months. Works well, GPS is sensitive and locks on quickly & generally works well. There is one odd issue in that the date that the GPS receiver returns is exactly 1024 weeks ahead of current date (time is correct). For example, on 18 Feb 2012 a fragment of raw NMEA log taken with the satnav application $GPRMC,150327.401,V,5152.5100,N,00205.8752,W,000.0,000.0,041031,,,N*6C

shows a date of 4 October 2031 in the $GPMRC sentence and continues at 7168 days ahead. The same date is shown on the GPS Signal screen so it is not the Satnav application. Doesn't stop it being used as a SatNav though it won't hold the date/time setting consistently. Is this a sample fault or are they all like that? Chris K cjk |
